Mod organizer 2 download slowly

Having same issue in 2. This issue seems to have returned. H-Finch Don't necro old issues, please. If you've just upgraded to premium, give it 24 hours. If not, you'll have to communicate with Nexus. MO does not control download speeds. Skip to content. MO2 was initially started by Tannin, the creator of the original Mod Organizer, to take care of bit games such as Fallout 4. It is now actively maintained by a team of developers, from all backgrounds, and is now able to do much more than Tannin ever envisioned.

The installer version is usually preferred for ease of installation. The installer can still be used to create a portable installation of MO2. Starting out with MO2 can be a bit intimidating. Several things about the tool may be unintuitive. There are some hidden features that affect how you mod your games. It is strongly recommended to do a little bit of research before jumping feet first into modding.

GamerPoets has made a tutorial video series that you can watch by clicking the image below. Download speeds are capped at Kbps despite me being a premium user, and having premium servers selected.

No matter what I do I cannot get premium speeds while I have premium servers set as my preferences. Both in the program and on the website. MO2 log shows I am logged in as premium. Keep in mind, I have restarted my PC in between all of these changes, yet my speed still peaks at Kbps. I am currently running on 1 gigabit fiber optic internet, download speed is currently mbps down, and mbps up.

The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:. Did you try leaving the cdn server as preferred? That one is actually the one Vortex uses. Also what speed do you get with vortex? What speed to get downloading manually with the browser? Sorry, something went wrong. I have MO setup for all the supported games and the download speeds I get are in the range of - Kbps so maybe I'm just lucky or it is because I had my servers set in MO before Nexus fiddled.

There is snippet from Tannin that has a bearing on the matter. I have that situation in the installations of MO besides the first one. I've made bug report on the matter. There seems to be no way to get MO to generate a list of servers if Nexus doesn't give you one. No, how would it? MO lists all servers Nexus transmitted in the last download in that instance of MO If there is only one which is it?

In my XP , MO download speed is akin to downloading any other way and thus limited by Nexus side of things. Switching preferred servers like tannin mentions can have a big impact unless there are no choices, then try refreshing MO maybe.

The other major difference is whether or not one has a Nexus Premium account or not. I purchased this years ago, since I had been using the site for so long that it just seemed 'right' to support it.

Afterwards, I noticed right away that my 1GB downloads only required a few minutes to complete. Premium servers are probably one to two orders of magnitude faster than standard servers, and you can prioritize them in MO I think. I understand MO has no impact on the selection of servers but I am confused why on my first installation of MO my available servers box shows this:. I haven't been a premium account user for years and certainly never since using MO so why are my settings so different?

On other side of the table, consider how much money it costs Nexus to maintain server racks, redundant disk storage, network bandwidth, and electricity and employee costs to give us easy access to all these free mods. I think the only servers I've used are the premium servers and the CDN, so I'm not sure if the standard servers are generally slower or the non-premium accounts are throttled or perhaps both.
